Hello Everyone!
My name is Viva Wheat and I am the new curriculum specialist at First Steps Early Head Start. I am thrilled to be here with all the wonderful professionals that work in this agency. I have been in the education field for 23 years and I’m still always learning new things and I absolutely love it!
My thoughts today are how important the parents, community, and educators are in a child’s life. Children watch, listen, and do everything that others do, that’s how they learn. What are we showing them?
As we slip into the beautiful fall season, I encourage you to take a walk with your child, nephew, niece, or grandchild. Ask them questions about the changing leaves, temperature change and what they think about it. Allow them to be little and enjoy the simple things in life.
